Kite Festival

This year we decided to check out the kite festival that is held on Wrightsville Beach, and I'm so glad we did! You absolutely LOVED all of the kites and enjoyed running around on the beach to get a close look at them.

These kites were AMAZING and HUGE! Some of the owners told us that many of the kites cost MORE than 10k dollars! Though I can think of a LOT of other ways in which I would spend 10k dollars, I'm glad these people chose kites because your enthusiasm was priceless!

Baby Pictures

Though Mommy is having a baby boy, you insisted from the very beginning that I was having a baby girl. You are starting to understand that it is a boy baby in my tummy, but I think the concept is hard for you to grasp. You don't quite see how I can be a girl, but have a boy in my belly, and because you are so obsessed with who is a boy and who is a girl these days, it is confusing you a bit!

You are so sweet with the baby and have already asked if you can help feed the baby, change the baby's diaper, and hold the baby. I have a feeling that you are going to be a great helper and do whatever is needed. This little boy is so lucky to have you as his big sister!

Fall Photo Shoot

Every six months your dad and I try to take you somewhere for some fun photos. This fall, we took you to Greenfield Lake Park in Wilmington to capture your sweet, almost-three personality. I have to say, you were quite into posing and cheesing it up for the camera! Although it was a bit chilly outside, we had tons of fun!

Happy Halloween!

This Halloween we had so many different events to attend! Once again, we went to the aquarium for Trick-or-Treat Under the Sea. For that night, you dressed as a bumblebee and had a great time with your friend, Everlee!


Then, we went to CFA's Fall Festival to play games and visit with friends. You also dressed as a bumblebee for that event!

Lastly, we had our annual Halloween Party with all of your friends. For that party, you dressed as a princess and we called you "CinderStella." You always have a great time with all of your friends!

Nights on CB

We are so grateful to be able to live to close to the ocean. We love just because able to hop in the car for a quick trip to the beach wherein you can run and play. You truly are an ocean girl, and these photos capture your carefree personality.

Big Sister!!!!

We are so excited to share that you are going to be a big sister!! I found out on September 7th that I was expecting your baby BROTHER in May 2012. In this video, I was trying to get you to explain the parts of a book with your "Big Sister" book so I could show it to family to spread the news. You, however, insisted on using "Goodnight Moon" instead. Look in the background to see the big sister book on the floor! Anyway, this video captures your knowledge of books, which makes both Mommy and Daddy so proud!

Old Baldy or Rapunzel's Tower?

On the ferry ride to BHI.

Tessie and Papaw came to visit Labor Day Weekend! Every time they come to visit, they always talk about how they want to go to Bald Head Island for the day, so we decided to do it! That Friday, we woke up early and took the ferry from Southport to BHI. Daddy used to work on the island, so he was able to get us a golf cart to use for the day. Woohoo!

Once we arrived on the island, the day was all about exploration. Papaw and Tessie wanted to see the natural beaches and the beautiful homes, so we spent much of the day driving around. We also took some time to see "Old Baldy," the island's historical lighthouse. Because you are currently obsessed with the movie Tangled, you thought the lighthouse was Rapunzel's tower and shouted up to the top, "Rapunzel, let down your haiiir!" It was hysterical!
