The Toddpold Wedding Weekend!

Tuesday, June 22, 2010 - Saturday, June 26, 2010

Alan and I were so excited to be a part of Liz & Andy's beautiful wedding at Fort Fisher. Alan was a groomsman, and I did a reading. It was such a beautiful day! We also enjoyed having the Quatmans in town! We rarely see them, so it was great to catch up and let the kids play together. Here are some pics from the entire weekend.

These two wiggle worms wouldn't sit still for a good photo!

Stella enjoying her first lollipop courtesy of Kristina...she liked carrying it around more than anything.

Saying goodbye to the Quatmans for what we hope isn't too long.

Obviously, we didn't plan to take Stella to the wedding and were really looking forward to a night out! Because of my type-A personality, I went a little overboard in preparing our babysitter for her time with Stella (which, in actuality was only about 3 waking hours). Anyway, my friend Mercedes said she would stay with Stella and she appreciated the extensive instructions - everything from, "She likes to sing Twinkle Twinkle before bed," to " Be careful when the bathroom floor gets wet after bath - it's super slippery," as well as a list of "Stella's Words Decoded." Okay, so maybe a bit obsessive, but I don't leave Stella often and it made me feel better. Also, she has been going through some serious separation anxiety lately, so I wanted Mercedes to feel armed and prepared! I'm proud to report, however, that Stella did not shed a SINGLE tear when we departed, and she had a fantastic time with Mercedes! Alan and I, in turn, had a great time at the wedding and only wish our old bodies could have handled a longer night of partying with friends!! Unfortunately, my camera battery died by the time we got to the reception, but here are some photos of the wedding:
