Dental Health!

This past week, you went to the dentist for the very first time! Though, I was a little nervous about the experience, I was assured by many friends that your pediatric dentist was awesome, and that turned out to be quite true!

Upon walking into the office, you were instantly in awe of the underwater aquarium theme. The fish tanks featured exotic fish and the walls were covered in sea murals. The pillows on the couches resembled Nemo and Dori from Finding Nemo, and the sight of many children having fun put you at ease.

After a few minutes of playing the hygienist came back to get you. One thing I loved about this office is that they let me come back with you. Sheri, your hygienist, was so awesome. She showed you all of the tools that she would use in your mouth, made sure you weren't scared of the noises, and allowed you to pick out your own toothbrush. She was so sweet and patient. Before long, you were in the chair wearing your green shades and watching a cartoon on the ceiling tv! You cooperated throughout the entire visit: cleaning, flossing, fluoride, and exam. Dr. Weinberg was very impressed with your pearly whites and told us to keep doing what we're doing: little to no juice, lots of water, and brush twice a day. He also encouraged us to try flossing two or three times a week just to get in the habit. Since your teeth are spaced out, there is really no dental need for flossing, but it is important to get into the habit!

At the end of your visit, you earned a cool t-shirt, a new toothbrush, a sticker, and a prize from Dr. Weinberg's treasure chest! All in all, I'd say it was a VERY successful visit!
