Weekend Update!

What a fun-filled weekend we had!  Friday we went to the Relay for Life to walk for those who battle cancer.  We walked with the Millers and with our friend, Liz.  It's so nice that the walk takes place so close to our house because we don't have to drive and battle the traffic and parking.

On Saturday, we did our usual morning routine:  gym and the grocery store.  Mommy's gym friends are amazed every time they see me walk through the door because they think I look like I'm going to pop any day!  I figure the more exercising I do now, the sooner he'll come.  If not, at least we're passing time and trying to be healthy!  You love going to the gym and playing with your gym friends, too.  After lunch and nap-time, we went to our first of two birthday parties this weekend.  Madelyn Grace turned TWO, and we had so much fun celebrating with her.  You had a BLAST playing with Everlee, Daniel, George, Ruth, Madelyn, and all of the other kiddos.  The bouncy house was your favorite part, and it wore you out!

Ready for the party - and showing off your new nail polish!

Leaving the birthday party with Everlee and your blue balloon.

On Sunday, we woke up and decided to spend the morning on the beach.  It was beautiful for a few hours so we took advantage of the weather and packed a picnic lunch.  You had so much fun chasing the waves and searching for seashells.

Wondering if the water is still too cold....
Pretending to fly!
And running away....

Running with Daddy.

Always so happy when surrounded by the sand and surf.

Remembering the taste of sand!

I think there may be saltwater running through your veins....

Something is captivating you!

Check out that sand flea!

After our trip to the beach and our picnic in the park, we went home for nap time.  Then, it was off to birthday party number two!  Happy first birthday to our friend Berk!  You enjoyed playing with George and eating cake pops.

When we got home, you insisted we use your new nail polish even though you have a really hard time with the "patience part" of waiting for your nails and toes to dry.

Pretty pink glittery mani/pedi!  You call them your "sprinkles."

After mani/pedi time, you decided it was time to put on a little performance.  Recently you have been very obsessed with The Little Mermaid, and as I've said before, you have quite the knack for learning song lyrics.  This is proof of your incredible ability.  I'm not going to lie.  I LOVE that you love to sing and listen to Disney movies and show tunes.  You are also digging Thoroughly Modern Millie lately because of the tap-dancing tunes.
